２日目のスタートです。
朝食を食べ、秋吉台、秋芳洞に向かいます。

１日目の宿に着つきました。
夕食も食べ、元気いっぱいです。

昼食後、原爆資料館の見学と公園内の碑めぐりを逢いしました。資料館では、これまでの調べ学習で見ていた画像を目の前で観ました。
心揺さぶられると共に改めて平和について考えることができました。碑めぐりでは、ボランティアの方々が公園内の説明をしてくださいました。
今からバスで、今日のお宿、梅野屋さんに向かいます。

> 原爆の子の像の前で、平和を祈る式を行いました。みんなで折った千羽鶴を奉納し、平和を願っての決意を代表の児童が宣言しました。最後に全員で「平和の鐘」を歌いました。全員の気持ちがひとつになり、厳かな空気に包まれました。

> 道が混んでいて、ギリギリの乗車となりましたが、皆元気に、それぞれに楽しく新幹線での時間を過ごしました。

今日から６年生は修学旅行に向かいます。
６時半に集合し、無事に出発しました。

Mr Gen and Mr Omura are the two photographers that accompanied us on this
trip. Not only do they take amazing photographs by appearing at the
perfect places at the perfect times, they also assist us in so many ways as
they have been on countless school trips.
Thank you for all of your great work and going above and beyond your
photographic duties.

We have just passed Nihsinomiya Najio.
We have come from the free flowing traffic to crowded highways of the city,

Unlike the last time we came, the students are very quiet and most likely
do to the fatigue of the three days, or because they captivated by the
movie.

We are now at the Yuragawa Parking Area taking

a short break to stretch our legs and use the

restrooms. This is a quiet Parking Area with clean

air and clean restrooms.

After this stop, our next stop will be our hotel.

After each swimming period, we were treated to a beautiful shower, natural
hot springs, and outdoor hot springs. Twice a day the children could enjoy
the facilities.

We are now on our buses heading by to Ikeda.

We would like to say a special thanks the staff of

The Kasyouen Hotel. They were so friendly, so

accommodating, with service and

accommodations that were fantastic. I want to

say a special thanks for providing meals for

students and teachers with dietary restrictions.

As we focused on swimming, the lifeguards were always in the water before
us, and came back on the shore once we were all ready to go back to the
hotel. They would stay in the ocean for non stop two hours as we took
breaks every 20 minutes.
After working our two shifts for our school, they all would be so tired
that they would go back to their accommodations and pass out.
Yet, they never complained, were never thanked, and just did their jobs.

After two nights and three days, this is the end of our activities.
We will go back to our hotel, wash the sand off of our clothes, spin dry
out clothes, take baths, and eat lunch before getting on the bus.

　

One half went in the shallows, and the other half went to the tide pools.
We will next go to the tide pools to discover tide pool life up close.

Although we are in the shallows, the lifesavers are always on alert, ready
to jump on and help if needed. Although we take breaks every 20 minutes,
the life guards take no such breaks and wait for 2 hours in water.

All the classes tried very hard but found the group yelling directions
quite difficult.
Only class 6-3 successfully split the watermelon.
