Today, our students had the privilege of hearing a lecture by Mr. Morikawa, a second-generation Atomic Dome survivor. He spoke about the life and experiences of Ms. Shinoda Megumi, sharing her story with powerful insight and compassion.

For many years, we were fortunate to hear directly from Ms. Kono Kiyomi, who shared her firsthand experiences as a 94-year-old survivor. Last year’s students listened to her testimony in person, an unforgettable opportunity.

This year’s lecture was equally meaningful, presented by Mr. Morikawa, a professional speaker with deep knowledge of World War II and the Atomic Dome. His talk reminded us of the importance of continuing to pass on these stories — not only to students, but to people around the world — so that history is never forgotten.
